Announcement of the acquisition of Servelogic Plc by Genesis Communications

I am pleased to announce that Genesis Communications Group has acquired Servelogic plc.

Servelogic is a provider of hosted IT solutions to the SME and Corporate market. It is a rapidly growing company specialising in hosted exchange, hosted blackberry servers and hosted Sharepoint. Servelogic has strong expertise in web site automation and sells mostly through its website www.servelogic.com. Servelogic customers include the Department of the Environment, Virgin Airways, Mott MacDonald, NEC Europe.

Genesis is acquiring Servelogic with the aim of further differentiating ourselves from the competition by bringing IT service solutions to the existing Genesis customer base. We see a massive opportunity for our customer's to take advantage of hosted IT services provisioned over the web and integrated to the mobile and telecom services provided by Genesis.

The Genesis Directors would like to welcome Mark Seemann to the management board of Genesis Communications where Mark will become Director of Product Marketing. Mark will continue to be Managing Director of Servelogic plc. Genesis also welcomes the Servelogic staff into the group with Jason Kendall, co-founder of Servelogic, moving forward as Head of Network Infrastructure for Servelogic. The team will continue to be based in the Midlands.

The acquisition of Servelogic is an important step towards our vision of building an integrated telecom and IT provider focussing on the the SME market. The scale of the Genesis customer base and sales capability combined with Servelogic’s product creation and web marketing abilities will make the group a force to be reckoned with in the SME market space.

We are delighted to combine the capabilities of our two companies and look forward to bringing hosted IT applications to our mobile customer base.
